Arthritis in an active forensic nurse

July 29, 2011

Have you been on your feet all day and felt pain in your legs? Have you sat a desk for most of the day and felt stiffness in your joints? Well you may want to join the group of us who suffer from arthritis. You may say I don’t have arthritis; it just pain and stiffness from the type of work I do. I was saying the same thing until I begin talking with my massage therapist then went to find doctors who treat arthritis. Sure enough a group of Bay St. Louis arthritis doctors confirm the disorder in my case. Consider the possibility in your case and talk with your health care provider.

Creatine phosphokinase isoenzymes, comment

July 22, 2011

Thank you for reminding us about the CPK isoenzymes. We had an interesting case. A driver was in a motor vehicle accident. He had extremely high levels of his creatine phosphokinase isoenzymes. That is his CPK-1, CPK-2, and CPK-3 were all extremely high. The question was at that time, was the high level due to alcohol or a heart attack. It turned out that the high levels were due to a heart attack and stroke right before the accident. Also, it was due to muscle trauma during the accident.

Reduce our national debt by reducing the federal electronic medical records mandate, comment

July 15, 2011

I think it is about time our federal government has become involved with electronic medical records. There are too many numerous times when access to medical records is slow or not available. We need these health care records for court and other legal matters. There has been times when legal cases were not upheld for the innocent when the health care records were not found or arrived late. The medical records side of health care is something I am not proud of. I can say this because I am a health care worker. Thank you President Barack Obama for taking a firm stand in helping us get our house in order.
