Moving into my own place was scary, but for all the wrong reasons. I thought I’d be most worried about things like paying the mortgage and getting all the utilities all set up, but it ended up being the living alone part that really got to me. Those first few weeks I don’t think I slept 20 hours…I was so used to having roommates right down the hall that being in the new place all by myself really creeped me out. I’m feeling a lot better now since I looked into alarms www.home-alarm-systems.com and invested in some decent locks, but I’m still considering getting a dog or at least taking some self defense classes. My dad said he doesn’t really like me living there all by myself but I don’t really know what we’re supposed to do about it. Oh well, I know this is all part of growing up but I’m not so sure I like this aspect of being responsible. I’ll get used to it eventually, I guess!
