To be a forensic nurse examiner, one must be an expert in many aspects. Be proficient in General anatomy. Be able to identify and evaluate trauma. Excellent documentation skills, that can be presented in the court of law. Be able to provide victim services. Proficient in sexual assault exam process, rape trauma syndrome and evidentiary exams. Be aware of police role and responsibilities. With expert knowledge in health assessment skills this would make becoming a forensic nurse examiner easier to achieve.
